Alpha Units for 0.2 ml Tubes or 96-Well Plates
This sample format can hold either one 96-well PCR
plate or 96 x 0.2 ml tubes or up to 30 x 0.5 ml tubes.
A thermal gradient of 1℃ to 24℃ can be programmed across
the block, allowing optimization of reaction conditions
in a single experiment.
High-Capacity 384-Well
Alpha Unit for 384-Well Plates
This Alpha unit was developed in collaboration with
several genome centers to provide a high-density format
for automated operation. It is a true 4x version of
the 96-well format. The wells have the same V-profile
and are spaced on 4.5 mm centers.
60-Well Alpha Unit for
0.5 ml Tubes
This block holds sixty
0.5 ml micro-centrifuge tubes. Many researchers prefer
this format because the tubes are easy to use, economical,
and large enough to write on.
The Flat
Block Alpha Unit for Microarrays and Customized Attachments
The Flat Block surface is ideal for microarrays,
biochips, and flat-bottom vessels. It also has four
small screw-down points so a custom-machined sample
block may be easily attached. This provides the flexibility
to customize the DNA Engine family of thermal cyclers
for specific needs.
