Three different gel sizes. Each system allows the user to cast and electrophorese high quality agarose gels. Patented drop-in dams eliminate the need for gel sealing tape during gel casting. Gels can be cast while the electrophoresis unit is being used or multiple gels can be cast in advance by using the external gel casting system. Horizon® 11.14 and Horizon® 20.25 offer additionally the option to perform Southern and Northern capillary blotting. The Horizon® systems consist of two (Horizon® 58) resp. three primary components that are supplemented by a complete selection of accessories and replacement parts. The primary components are: the electrophoresis apparatus, the external gel casting system, and the capillary blot transfer system. |
